Bottom Wood Tree Felling

Originally published at: Bottom Wood Tree Felling - Chiltern Society

On Monday 27th September we will be commencing tree felling at our Bottom Wood site. The main objective of the work is to manage the ash dieback on the site which is effecting a large proportion of the ash. This causes the trees to deteriorate rapidly, drop branches and ultimately die and fall over. The work we are undertaking is to manage the risk to the public and safeguard the long term health of the woodland.

The work is approved by the Forestry Commission who have issued us with a felling licence.
