Hello RWG and friends,
Pauline Walsh, CEO of Affinity, recently made a speech on Planning for a different world – adapting to the Climate Crisis in which she majored on chalk streams and water use. The enclosed Word doc contains extracts from that speech which make interesting reading I think. She seems very much in our camp and exasperated at the slow, limp-waisted approach of government and regulators (if. you read between the lines of the entire speech).
Her highlighting of the comments that the new CABA chalk streams report lacks actual commitments to do anything is interesting, and bang on!
Jake Rigg is leaving Affinity, which is a pity as he’s been our most committed water company director.
The Earth’s fragile beauty sustains us.
